Mark 10: 13-16
13People were bringing little children to Jesus to have him touch them, but the disciples rebuked them. 14When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. 15I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it." 16And he took the children in his arms, put his hands on them and blessed them.
I love my son with all my heart, I care for him and will forever do. I look at him as a innocent child that has no worries and in a child-like way, kinda selfish. He wants his way all the time and he gets it most of the time, I guess that is because he is our one and only, typical of a spoiled child.
After hearing this passage explained in detail yesterday, my outlook on Daryl has changed. I realize he is just being a child. I have a better understanding of him. I now understand that at his age everything has to go through his mom and/or myself.
His school work requires him to complete multiple projects. We will work with him on these and we will tell him what to do. He will receive those instructions and depend on us that those instructions are correct. He will execute those instructions and puts his trust on us that his project will be impeccable.
Christians should pattern their ways as of like a child. If we have project in our everyday life, we have to go to our Father and receive His instructions from His Word, and depend on it as our life manual. Then we execute those instructions with the utmost trust that whatever comes from Him, the result will always be impeccable.

Addictions
John 4:13-14
13Jesus answered, "Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, 14but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life."
The first thing that jumps at me after reading this verses is that we as humans have plenty of worldly addictions and obsessions. Not necessary bad things but normal everyday routines. Examples are sleeping, watching TV, and even exercising. Not to say these are bad things but done excessively can be spiritually fatal.
I always gave importance to getting at least 7-8 hrs of sleep a day or I will be cranky and feeling tired all throughout the day. Same thing is true, I hate missing my favorite TV shows, the Mavs, Cowboys and Stars games. I could sit in front of the TV for hours just to past time and wait for a good show to come on. Working out in the gym and playing sports are my other passion in life. If only we have more hours in a day, I for sure, would be doing these in abundance.
But this is me now: Even with only 5-6hrs of sleep every night specially on the weekends, as long as the first thing I do is drown myself in the Word of the Lord and/or do His work through my ministry for His church, the dragging feeling and the irritability feeling are a thing of the past.
As far as spending a lot of time watching TV -- all I can say is I thank God for TIVO. Now I do not have to let the TV shows dictate my schedule but I have control over how I spend my quite time and family time without any distractions.
Yes, it is good to be physically healthy and fit. but what I have noticed is that if I do a lot of exercises and physical activity, when I get home, I am too tired to do anything else, then it becomes an issue. If I burn a lot of energy during the day, when I get home, I tend to just rest, relax and a lot of times I take a nap. My quality time with my family suffers, my house chores gets put on the side and my quiet time with Christ becomes non-existent.

MMA
Mixed Martial Arts as people know it. Fastest growing sport today. It is a discipline that collaborates anywhere from 2 to 8 different styles of fighting and self-defense. I have learned from my experience that to switch from one art to another you will have to start from the basics. Although you already have an advanced knowledge of one art, when you study and try to learn another, you will have to forget everything you have learned of the other art and start with a clean slate.
A good analogy would be let's say you have a glass of water that is 3/4 full, but you want to drink the most amount of milk you can put on that glass. You will have to empty that glass of water and fill it up with milk.
To be closer to Christ, we have to humble ourselves and declare ourselves sinners and spiritually bankrupt. Then fill ourselves with the Word of God.
Inspired by John 3:3
In reply Jesus declared, "I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again"

Temple of God
Ahhh. Another day, I always look forward to another blessed day. I am so grateful to God that he is keeping me and my family healthy.
As the scripture said that if we are faithful to Him, He will watch over our body where the Holy Spirit dwells. We just have to be disciplined and take care of His temple and not defile it with vices and sexual sins.
Remember, honor God with your body, your body is not your own, you were bought at a price, paid for by The Blood of Christ.
